February, March, and April are always a happy time of the year for me. I get my taxes done and I’m not quite struggling so hard to make ends meet. Also a good time of the year to get some projects around the house finally accomplished. So I contacted a contractor friend of mine and got some quotes to get some siding repaired and to change out a broken window. Phew, maybe in 2013 I’ll actually get some things accomplished. Of course every year I get something accomplished it just seems like things are getting out of control and I can never quite keep up with it all. Anyway went to brunch yesterday with John and Stephen we were going to go to The Broken Egg but it was packed with people that had just finished the DBR so went to Polonzo’s instead. Afterwards stopped at Palafox market since it was Saturday and browsed around for a bit. Wonderful weather and picked up some tasty granola.

New Blog February 1, 2013
So, I’ve started a new blog here to showcase some of my photographs and to stir up interest in selling some of it online, and hopefully locally as well. I need to get more involved with the events and galleries in downtown Pensacola, but I’ve been reluctant to do so for a few reasons. All of the galleries charge a membership fee as far as I know and also want a commission on any items you may sell. Based on my non-existent online sales spending money on this would be a waste, but may give me more exposure. Then there are the art events most of which take place outside sometimes in very humid, hot, or inclement weather; all of which could ruin a framed piece of photography. Tried to have a garage sale once and learned this lesson very quickly having to show away some prints entirely.
So I do have another option of making waterproof unframed prints which would be viable but have not had the money or time to invest in this just yet, guess that’s still on the back burner.
